In the course we cover a variety of topics including, but not limited to, what is hypnosis & how to use it for yourself, conception through to delivery and the first six weeks, your rights and role as a pregnant and labouring individual/couple, the physiological processes that occur before and during labour through to birth, hands on techniques to use during your birthing time, history of birth and the introduction of pain associated with birthing.
So, why take this course instead of a quick 2 hour course, or one online?
There are some really excellent education courses,and heaps of valuable information available to us now, particularly through the internet. Unfortunately not all of it is true, relevant or being provided in the best possible way. When deciding a course consider the content and the time necessary to not only understand it, but put it into practice so that it isn't something you have to try to remember, but something that has become a reflex action such as walking; at one time in your life you had to really concentrate to take those steps, now you do it without thinking. This did not happen over a couple hours, but instead through weeks of practicing. This is the difference between a quick study online course and an interactive, hands on 5 week course.
Also consider that the more you learn, the more you know. The more you know the more you understand; with greater understanding your long held beliefs become challenged and with this comes a lot of emotion and figuring out. Often these emotions are best worked through with a trained professional, such as myself.
Together we work through any fears, questions and hesitations that may hinder your labour. I teach you and your partner how to self hypnotize and induce relaxation through anchors and touch techniques to release those wonderful endorphins and create those happy, relaxed feelings we love so much. I teach you how your body works and progresses through pregnancy, during labour and birth. We discuss what to expect after birth and the techniques that can be used during the fourth trimester.
My goal is to empower you to feel the power you already have within and to teach you to use it.

About the classes: Classes generally last from 2 to 3 hours (depending on how much chit-chat we engage in). Group classes tend to be run over the weekend to accommodate FIFO couples and those travelling to the area to attend classes; private classes and private group classes are available.
The overall cost of the Private class is $495**, or $510 if you choose to include the Dunstan Baby Language course (which includes a free home visit after bub arrives) and Group Class is $455.00**
(can be done in payments if that suits you best)
All learning materials are included. The information and techniques you will learn will serve you through your pregnancy, labour, birth, 4th trimester and well beyond.
You will also be able to contact me anytime for on-going support, during your pregnancy to after bub arrives, regardless. If you need to contact me before or during labour, a few days after bub has arrived or two years later, I will always try my very best to be available to support you.
As a certified Dunstan Baby Language (DBL) Educator, I include an introduction to some incredibly awesome information about truly helpful techniques to use after
bub has arrived. Including the DBL course to complete directly after your HypnoBirthing Course, you provide yourselves with even more knowledge, confidence and skills.
There is an option to sign up for after-care call-out to have me come to your home after bub has arrived, without signing up for the DBL course.

Fourth Trimester
As supporters of the fourth trimester HypnoBirthers understand babies need to be cared for in a gentle, soothing and calm way- particularly for the first 12 weeks when they are still very immature. This last session aims to provide you with the information and skills to support your baby’s transition from womb to room. In this session you will learn all the amazing things that your baby can do, how they communicate, how to support their emotional, mental and physical well being as well as introducing the normal behaviours you can expect in the first few months. Fourth trimester is more of a concept than it is a medical pregnancy term. It’s more of a concept that describes the three month period after the birth of your baby, when they are still very dependent on you. The next few special months are the time you continue with the beautiful and strong bond and foundations you created during the pregnancy with your little one (Which is INCREDIBLY important as discussed in the HypnoBirthing program).
Learning your baby's cues (Search DBL), taking time to stay calm, hydrated, nutritiously powered (healthy eating) and realizing that your baby is NOT a little adult and treating newborns as if they were still 'in utero' for their first three months of life can make life much easier for new families. We will look at practical things like sleep and settling, feeding and daily care as well as looking after yourself and your partner.
When Should I Start?
The best time to start a class is from around 20-24 weeks, but there is never a bad time to start. Generally group classes are arranged according to set times that can be viewed and booked here along with availability for private classes. When choosing a day and time please keep in mind that I understand that ‘life’ happens, as such a one time reschedule opportunity is available at no extra charge*. Together we will work through 5 classes in total – believe me the time flies! I teach hands on techniques (including robozo techniques) for you and for your partner to be able to be actively participating in the pregnancy and birth.
Positive’n Gentle Induction, Caesarean and Still SIMPLY Amazing Births:
HypnoBirthing® – The Mongan Method Practioners recognise and support the understanding that there are situations when there are truly necessary needs for an induction, perhaps due to gestational diabetes or another serious, medically relevant situation, or Caesarean births are sometimes required, again, for whole host of reasons. Regardless of the way your baby comes into the world, we believe it should be a positive and joyful experience. Many of the tools we teach are just as valid for inductions as well as caesarean births; parents who have completed the course have found it very informative, beneficial and rewarding!
